WEConnect China

WEConnect China is a WEConnect International and America-China Business Women's Alliance project that was discussed during the America-China Women Business Leaders Conferences in Beijing on November 2, Shanghai on November 5, and Shenzhen on November 8.  The Conferences attracted over 800 total attendees.
 
WEConnect China facilitates business opportunities by connecting members with certified women's business enterprises, thereby improving competitive advantage and facilitating sustainable economic grow.  Self-registered and certified businesses are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women.  WEConnect China connects these businesses with the growing private and public sector demand for diverse and innovative suppliers. 
 
After WEConnect China is incorporated, it will begin accepting applications for certification online, as well as deliver education and training to women’s business enterprises seeking to compete for large contracts.
 
Founding WEConnect China Members include: Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, Cisco Systems, Citigroup, HP, IBM, Intel, Manpower, Motorola, Pfizer and Walmart.
 
The Motorola Foundation recently provided a grant to help launch WEConnect China.
