Dominique Spencer is WEConnect International's Grant and Impact Manager. In this role, she works closely with the global team to measure the impact of WEConnect International's programs, coordinate monitoring and evaluation, and secure new funding.
Prior to joining WEConnect International, Dominique managed private foundation grants at the Institute for International Education (IIE). While there, she developed and implemented an internship exchange program, a training for parliamentarians in the Middle East and North Africa, and advised displaced students from Syria. She also worked as a Research Assistant for the Urban Refugee Education Project at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she managed stakeholder communication and co-led research in Lebanon. Dominique has also designed and conducted quantitative and qualitative research in Jordan on sport as psychosocial support for female refugees. Previously, Dominique served as a Program Assistant for five countries with the Fulbright Foreign Student Program at AMIDEAST.
Dominique is a published author and former Fulbright Researcher and English teacher in Egypt. She earned her MA in International Educational Development from Columbia University and her BA in International Affairs from the George Washington University. She also has a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). Dominique is originally from New Jersey and is an avid amateur chef and baker.Back to the Global Team
